Bespoke Flyscreens
At Sash Flyscreens we can make a screen to your required measurements and whatever material you need fitted to the frame, charcoal, grey or white, midge and pollen material. These are made amd modified in house and the turn around depends on the time of year and how busy we are.
Here is a screen we made which is just over 10cm high. it is also fitted with pollen and midge mesh. A customer wanted the window open all year round.
DIY Flyscreen Kit Metal
The standard silver screen is a fully constructed insect screen light metal frames (they can if mishandled dent or be bent) that slide outwards from each other to fill the space in a sash window, or other area. These are made in Italy.
Sizes and Colours? Silver frames are 40 (high) x 50cm wide and up to 92cm when full extended. Note that those measurements can be changed (height for width etc) if the clips are moved to the opposite sides.
Each profile of the silver frame is just 7mm wide and when the frames overlap in the middle then it is 15mm wide. The white frame is 10mm wide and 21mm when they overlap in the middle.

Note that those measurements can be changed (height for width etc) if the clips are moved to the opposite sides. The white frames are available in several standard sizes 45 (high) x 55cm which extends to 101cm. 55 (high) x 55cm which extends to 101cm. 45 (high) x 85cm which extends to 160cm. 55 (high) x 85cm which extends to 160cm. There are kits and if you don’t see the size you want, please ask.
Easy to Fit? Yes see below. Ready to use right out of the box. The white kit can also be bought more cheaply as a kit so that you can make a bespoke size if you wish. Fitting instructions here.
Easy to Use? Yes. You simply insert the frames in the gap with the top and bottom channels in place. Once the window is pulled shut then the outer frames can be pushed outwards from the middle to cover the area. It can be installed in the top half or bottom of the sash window.
What you Get: A fully assembled silver system with two sliding frames in it. White system can be purchased fully assembled or as a kit. The white system also has brush at the top and bottom of each frame.
